8 asparagus spears, frozen or fresh; cooked
8 ham slices
12 ounces cream cheese with chives and onions or
herbed; softened
1 lemon
2 tablespoons chopped green onions, very fine
black pepper

With paper towels, pat the ham dry and spread each
piece with cream cheese. Place an asparagus spear in the center of each ham slice. Drizzle each asparagus with lemon juice. Sprinkle the green onion over the spread cheese and grind a little fresh black pepper over everything.
Roll the ham slices, jelly roll style. Place the rolls seam side down on a tray, cover and refrigerate for a half-hour. Slice each roll into hors d'oeuvre size pieces.
